Step 1. Fill out a Basic Application
This can be done either online or on paper. Submission of this application in either format allows our office to create a file for each applicant and to monitor completion of the various requirements.Read More
- An unofficial copy of your child’s most recent report card
- A completed Transcript Request form
- A copy of your child’s birth certificate
- Teacher recommendation forms (Applicants for Grades Preschool-4 need to provide one recommendation from the child’s current classroom teacher. Applicants for Grades 5-11 need to submit two teacher recommendations: one from a math or science teacher, and one from an English or social studies teacher.)
Please note: A $75 application fee must be paid in order to submit your application.
Step 2. Schedule a Personal Interview & Testing Day
Upon receipt of your application, you will need to schedule a time to visit our campus, interview with our administrators, and take the necessary exams.Read More
Middle and Upper School: Applicants and their parent(s) must schedule a visit day with the admissions office. All applicants will be given math and writing evaluations during the course of their visit, and Middle School applicants will interview with our Middle School Principal and Upper School applicants will interview with our Headmaster.
Step 3. Experience a Day of School
After the interview and testing phase, each applicant is required to return to Lawrence Woodmere Academy to spend a portion of the day in the classroom setting. This is an opportunity for your child to experience a typical day at LWA.
