Spanish Teacher for grades 5-8
Grades 5-8 Full Time
 
Leave replacement position March-May 2018.
Spanish language classes provide an incredible opportunity for students to not only engage in critical thought, but to prepare them to be global citizens outside of the classroom. Ideal candidates must possess a deep understanding of grade level appropriate content knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging lessons.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide a range of instructional, management, and assessment strategies to meet the different needs of students while following the scope and sequence of the department
• Create thoughtful and engaging unit and lesson plans daily that will entice students into appreciating language and culture with lessons taught in the target language as much as possible
• Collaborate with colleagues across content areas and grade levels
• Participate in creating, revising, administering, and grading assessments
• Provide tutoring to small student groups as required
• Serve as advisor
• Assist with non-instructional supervision of students as needed
• Keep accurate and organized records of student information.

Science Teacher for grades 9-12
Grades 9-12 Full Time
 
Leave replacement April-June 2018, with possibility of September 2018 – January 2019.
Successful candidates will have a strong background in the biological sciences, with a degree in biology or a related science preferred. Teaching duties will include General Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, and Genetics.  For candidates interested in being considered for both the immediate leave replacement position and the position for September, teaching duties may include Advanced Placement Biology, General and Honors Biology, and electives such as Anatomy & Physiology and Genetics.
