LWA has a long history of successful athletics teams.
The boys varsity basketball team won the 2010-2011 PSAA championship by defeating Evangel Christian School by a score of 72-49. Several additional honors include Jerome Hadyden (All Conference), Trent Parrish (All Division), Jamal Benn (MVP for league and playoffs), and Coach Weiss (Coach of the Year)
