Lawrence Woodmere Academy welcomes families from all over the globe.  We offer an excellent college preparatory curriculum with classes taught with a global perspective.

At Lawrence Woodmere Academy we provide an ESL teacher dedicated to working with our International students. Students from Korea, China, Israel, Russia and Brazil have found great success in our school, and have gone on to thrive at American universities.

International Families interested in applying must first complete an application for the school. They must also find an American guardian for the student and secure housing and complete a guardian contract form.

Once we have received the application, guardian contract, teacher recommendations (translated) and official transcripts the Admissions Committee can make a decision as to whether the student would be a successful match for our school.

If accepted the family is sent a contract to sign and return with the designated deposit.

When the signed contract and deposit are returned the student is then officially enrolled. The student is then issued the I -20 form from SEVIS.

The family must then take the I -20 form and make an appointment at The American Embassy in their country to apply for a Visa.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SCHOOL CALENDAR

                                              2012 – 2013

          School begins on Thursday September 6, 2012

          New International students are required to attend an orientation

           Monday August 27 to Thursday August 30^th.

New students should plan to arrive in the United States

 by Saturday August  25^th

Winter Holiday begins Wednesday December 19^th. 2012 .

Classes resume on Thursday January 3^rd 2012 .
