Tom Gersh and Caroline Clark lead LWA’s Fall Athletics

Tom Gersh, a new junior from Neponsit, finished 3rd in the IPPSAL Championship cross country meet on Wednesday, October 28, at Eisenhower Park. As a first-time cross country runner, Gersh broke the school’s 5,000 meter record. The LWA Cross Country Team finished 3rd overall in the IPPSAL Championship, which is the team’s highest place
since they joined the league in 2005.

Caroline Clark, senior and Varsity Soccer Team captain, led the team in goals for the past two seasons. Clark was named to the PSAA All-League Team in 2008 and 2009. She was also invited to join the Omega Select Team, comprised of top athletes from around the country. The team competed in Indianapolis, Maryland last month.
