 The sky is the limit for LWA Summer Day Program attendees! With our new "club" feature, kids get to shape and create their summer day prorgam opportunities based on age, interests, and personality. Our special programs include:

Athletic Programs and Sports Clinics (featuring Champion Sports Academy)

Our athletics program, taught and assisted by sports coaches and top notch counselors, are designed around our understanding that all children have different athletic interests, abilities and needs. Children at LWA Summer Day are encouraged to enjoy our broad variety of athletic offerings from Aeroball, tennis, lacrosse, soccer, basketball, baseball/softball/t-ball, football, volleyball/beach volleyball/newcomb and gaga along with additional athletic opportunities specifically designed to help our youngest children develop their hand-eye coordination while bringing our oldest kids to new heights!

Special athletic programs are intertwined throughout the summer with weekly Intramurals, week-long Color War and special events like World Cup Soccer and World Series Day, among others.

At no additional cost, we offer three optional sports clinics for children entering grades 3-7 where they can participate for five consecutive mornings in a high end clinic in their favorite sport. Clinics are offered in basketball, baseball and lacrosse. Top coaches join us each week to work with children to bring them to the next level in their favorite sports. To run our lacrosse clinic, we welcome back Maximum Lacrosse, the U.S. premier lacross program founded and led by U.S. lacrosse star, Max Seibald.

British Soccer Camp (additional cost)

For those children entering grades 3-7 who cannot stop kicking around that soccer ball, we bring you the opportunity to participate in Pro Soccer Camp for five full days or half-days on our campus. We bring in top coaches trained with age/ability appropriate instruction for an entire week. They will run soccer programs and drills, emphasizing skills, sportsmanship and fun. Children will still participate in their two swim periods and hot lunch daily but will spend the rest of the day out on the soccer field with their coaches.

Arts….Featuring LWA Center for the Creative Arts

There is also no need for a long bus ride for a strong music and drama program. Our beautiful air-conditioned theater is the site of multiple presentations from a full stage musical theater production to a dance recital, music production and Evening of the Stars. We offer junior and senior chorus, Drama Baby (Kindergarten), Junior Drama (optional for Grades 1 & 2) and a 1-week music specialty experience. Our 5 art studios allow for wide-range artistic opportunities. Private music lessons and dance round out the experience.

Don't miss our full-immersion LWA Center for the Creative Arts those seeking a full day creative, dance and dramatic arts experience. 

Activities & Trips

Our regular schedule is so jam-packed with activities, there never seems to be enough time to get it all in! We offer amazing activities from GaGa and basketball to one of our latest additions, Aeroball! The fun never stops! All children third grade and up will take trips which may include Adventureland, Hershey Park, Lake George, NYC excursions, BounceU, kayaking, trapezing, bowling, mini-golf, deep sea fishing and much, much more! Special events take place each week including Carnival, Wet and Wild, Color War and many cultural arts events.

Academics

Optional pull-out group reading and math lessons are included in our program. Summer Discovery is a pull-out opportunity for all kids entering grades 2 and up to experience gifted learning and to think "Out of the Box"! Our children have weekly technology classes with our technology expert. In addition to after-program private swim and tennis lessons, we offer private academic tutoring in all subjects. After all, LWA is a top flight college preparatory school and our faculty is top notch! These private tutoring after camp sessions are an extra cost.

Aquatics

The LWA Aquatics Program stands out as one of the top swimming programs on Long Island.  Each child swims twice a day, with instructional swim every morning and recreational swim each afternoon.  Our 2 pools are heated, well supervised, and focus on safety first, followed by fun!  We offer the American Red Cross swim program as the framework within which each child becomes a life long swimmer.
