Nancy Falchuk ('62W) named National President of HadassaH
October 29, 2007
Nancy Falchuk, a native of Woodmere, accepted the position of National
President of Hadassah in July of this year. She is a current resident of Newton Center, Massachusetts.
Falchuk graduated from Woodmere
Academy and Russell Sage
College where she earned
her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Her 30 years of Hadassah involvement
started in Woodmere,
where she was raised in a home with a Hadassah focus.
Falchuk said that while she was exposed to diversity at Woodmere Academy, her broad perspectives mainly
came from her home life. Her mother was a very involved member of the Hadassah
community and organized Hadassah meetings from their home.
She previously served as the National Coordinator of the Development
Division and a member of Hadassah’s National Board Honorary Council and
Executive Committee. Nancy
was the Coordinator of Hadassah International from 2000-2004 and was Chair of
the Hadassah 2000 National Convention held in Los Angeles.
Her transition from National Coordinator of Development to
National President has been easy, she said, due to the strong leadership in
this powerful organization. “You’re only as good as the people you surround yourself
by,” Falchuk said.
