Our Global Studies Program emphasizes the tremendous value students get from traveling countries abroad.
In February 2014 we had 36 Upper School students travel in Spain. This one-week trip featured exposure to cultural places and events that helped our students develop a deeper understanding of the world.
During the 2014-2015 academic year, a number of our students will participate in a student exchange program with French students. This opportunity will help our students have a direct and meaningful experience that is based on traveling abroad, It also has the added component of meeting students from another country.
A service learning trip abroad has been planned for February 2015. On this trip, students will travel to the Dominican Republic to spend a week of recreation and service learning.
The goal of our travel abroad program is to provide students with many opportunities to practice their expanded awareness of cultural variety, as well as world language proficiency, in new and exciting settings.
